Your invoice reaches no server
A supplier invoice carries an IBAN, amounts, contact details and sometimes commercial terms. Ordinary online extractors upload that file to a machine you do not control, in a country you do not know, for a retention period nobody tells you about.
Here the PDF is read by your browser, on your own machine. The page is not even allowed to open a connection: it ships with a security policy that forbids every network call (connect-src 'none'). Check it in your browser's Network tab: not a single request is made while the file is processed.

What you will find inside a Factur-X XML
A Factur-X invoice is a PDF/A-3 with an attached XML file, usually named factur-x.xml (or zugferd-invoice.xml, xrechnung.xml). That XML follows the UN/CEFACT CII D16B standard and carries the structured data your software reads without any retyping.
Seller and buyer identity, including the company registration number when present (GlobalID schemeID 0002).
Invoice number, issue date and document type (invoice, credit note).
Totals: line net total, VAT breakdown, gross total, prepaid amounts, amount due.
Payment terms, due date and references (purchase order, contract).
The declared profile: MINIMUM, BASIC WL, BASIC, EN 16931 or EXTENDED. It tells you how detailed the data is.
The profile matters: a MINIMUM invoice carries neither line items nor VAT breakdown. If your software expects them, that invoice will not be enough and you will have to ask the supplier for a richer profile.
Extracting is only half the job
Once the XML is in front of you, the real question shows up: can this invoice actually be booked? Is every mandatory field there? Do the totals add up? Does the declared profile match what the file really contains?

Is my file uploaded to your servers?
No. Extraction is done by your browser, on your computer. The page is served with a security policy that forbids any outgoing connection, so it technically cannot transmit your file. Open your browser's Network tab to see it for yourself.
Which e-invoice formats are supported?
Every PDF with an embedded UN/CEFACT CII XML: Factur-X (France), ZUGFeRD (Germany, 2.x versions) and XRechnung delivered as PDF/A-3. Profiles MINIMUM, BASIC WL, BASIC, EN 16931 and EXTENDED are all read.
The tool says there is no XML, why?
Your PDF is an ordinary one: an image or text invoice with no structured data attached. It is not an e-invoice in the regulatory sense. Ask your supplier for a Factur-X or ZUGFeRD file.
Is there a limit on the number of invoices?
None on this page: it handles one file at a time, as often as you like. To process a batch at once and export a CSV, the Pro version of the Novair Factur-X extension does it, still locally.
Can I use it without an internet connection?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, disconnect: extraction keeps working. That is the strongest proof that nothing is sent.
Is it really free?
